Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 May 2026. These terms govern your use of the passmed.ph website ("the site") operated by Passmed Pte. Ltd.
1. About us
The passmed.ph website is operated by Passmed Pte. Ltd. ("Passmed", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in Singapore. By creating an account, subscribing, or using passmed.ph you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. For legal correspondence, contact support@passmed.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to create an account or use Passmed. By using the platform you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Passmed is designed for international medical graduates and qualified medical professionals preparing for the Physician Licensure Examination examination.
3. Account & security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials (username and password) confidential and for all activity on your account. Don't share your login with anyone else. Only the person who registered the account may use it - no multi-user sharing. Simultaneous logins from multiple locations may flag your account for review; clear credential sharing may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund. Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Subscriptions & payment
One-off payments. No auto-renewal. All subscriptions are one-off purchases for a fixed duration (1, 2, 3, or 6 months) at the price displayed at the point of purchase. We do not auto-renew. You will not be charged again at the end of your subscription period. When your subscription ends, your account remains active with limited demo access; to continue with full access you must actively choose a new paid plan.
Prices are displayed in Philippine pesos (PHP) with US Dollar (USD) equivalents shown for reference. Charges are processed in PHP inclusive of any applicable Philippine Value Added Tax (VAT) at 12%. International cards will be converted to PHP by your card issuer at their exchange rate. Payment is processed by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor; we never store your full card details on our servers.
Late fees. If we are required to collect overdue fees, you will be liable for our reasonable collection costs and interest on overdue amounts at standard commercial overdraft rates.
5. Free trial
We offer a 7-day free trial for new users, with no card required to start. The trial does not auto-convert to a paid subscription. We will not charge you at the end of the trial. To continue with full access after your trial ends, you must actively choose a paid plan from your account. If you don't, your account stays free with limited demo access.
6. Refunds & consumer rights
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of paid purchase, separate from your free trial period. This is a voluntary commercial guarantee, additional to and not in substitution for any non-excludable rights you have under applicable Philippine consumer protection legislation. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) administers consumer protection under R.A. 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines).
You are eligible for a full refund if:
(a) you request the refund within 14 days of your paid purchase, and
(b) you have answered fewer than 50 questions in total across your trial and paid subscription.
Refunds can be requested from your account under Order History; we process approved refunds to your original payment method within 10 business days. App Store purchases (Apple or Google) must be refunded through the relevant app store directly - we are unable to process those refunds.
Philippine consumer protection. If you are a "consumer" as defined under R.A. 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines), our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. You may be entitled to a refund or replacement if our services do not match their description, are not of reasonably acceptable quality, or fail to meet other statutory consumer guarantees. For specifics, consult the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) consumer protection guidelines under R.A. 7394. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies these rights.
7. Content & intellectual property
All questions, explanations, images, scoring algorithms, editorial content, branding, and software on passmed.ph are the intellectual property of Passmed Pte. Ltd. or our licensors. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use this content for your own PLE exam preparation only.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, lease, sublicense, frame, mirror, scrape, or commercially exploit any Passmed content in any form without our prior written consent. This includes:
(a) bulk extraction via automated tools, screen-capture, OCR, browser scraping, or any data-gathering software;
(b) using Passmed content as input to, or training data for, any artificial intelligence model, large language model, or generative AI system;
(c) reverse-engineering or attempting to derive source code;
(d) removing or altering any copyright notices, watermarks, or attribution.
Material breach of this section terminates your licence immediately and forfeits any voluntary refund under section 6.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use passmed.ph to do anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes another person's rights. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, upload viruses or malicious code, harass other users, or use our content for any purpose other than your own exam preparation. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in any of the above.
9. Availability & changes
We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the service offline for maintenance with notice for planned downtime. We may update our questions, features, and pricing at any time; material changes will be communicated by email to active users at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Disclaimer & educational use only
Passmed content is provided for educational and exam-preparation purposes only. It is not clinical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical judgement, clinical training, supervision, or up-to-date clinical guidelines. While we take editorial accuracy seriously and review all questions before publication, we make no warranty that any specific question, explanation, or piece of content is current, complete, or appropriate for any particular clinical scenario. You are solely responsible for any clinical decision you make, and you must not rely on Passmed content when making decisions about patient care.
The platform and all content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law (and subject to any non-excludable consumer guarantees under the Philippine consumer protection law), we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the greater of (a) five times the most recent fee you paid Passmed in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or (b) PHP 5,000. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, regardless of legal theory and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
This cap does not apply to (a) liability that cannot be excluded under the Philippine Consumer Act (R.A. 7394) or other applicable mandatory law, or (b) damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms (including credential sharing, content extraction, AI training use, or fraudulent payment); in such cases, any voluntary money-back guarantee under section 6 is forfeit, but your statutory consumer rights are unaffected. On termination, your access ends but our retention of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore for all matters not relating to Philippine consumer protection, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded.
Philippine consumer rights are preserved. Nothing in these Terms limits your non-excludable rights under applicable Philippine consumer protection legislation, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173), or any other mandatory Philippine law. Philippine consumers may bring proceedings in the appropriate Philippine courts where they reside.
